Scott Powerline Honored at ARCO Luncheon
Scott Powerline was one of several local businesses recognized at a recent appreciation luncheon...
...held at the West Monroe Convention Center. SPL was recognized for its support of ARCO, A Community Resource, and was presented with a certificate of appreciation which featured artwork done by an ARCO participant. Scott Powerline supports ARCO by utilizing its document destruction and recycling service. ARCO is a local nonprofit United Way agency seeking to empower persons with developmental disabilities to enjoy quality lives through instruction, support, and opportunity.

as both a major sponsor and exhibitor. The show, held in Atlanta, GA, ran from October 13 through October 15. Account manager Wayne Smith and GA operations manager Roland Thaggard represented SPL at the multi-day event. Scott Powerline serves the sign and lighting industry through the rental, sale, and service of truck-mounted aerials, cranes, digger derricks, and pressure drills. ICUEE 2011 Was a Huge Success
Scott Powerline enjoyed a very successful ICUEE show.
With 18 units exhibited throughout the various outside display areas, Scott Powerline had great exposure to the thousands of ICUEE attendees. A vast majority of those display units were either rented or sold at the conclusion of the show. ICUEE 2013 is scheduled for October 1 -3, again at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, KY.

Scott Powerline & Utility Equipment was an Eagle sponsor at the 21st annual Angel Tree Alabama Power charity golf tournament in Birmingham. Scott Powerline has been a supporter of this tourney for several years.
The event is an annual fundraising effort held in partnership with the Salvation Army Angel Tree Program in that area. The Scott Powerline team in the 4-person scramble was comprised of Wayne Smith, Jay Lee and Jonathan Parker, all of Scott Powerline, and Jeff Adams of Scott Truck Company. Scott Powerline Takes Part In Terex Hands On
Three employees from Scott Powerline & Utility Equipment recently participated in the 33rd annual Terex Utilities' Hands On program in Watertown, South Dakota.
Attending were Roland Thaggard, operations manager of our Georgia facility; Kyle Smith, our rental coordinator in Monroe; and Jeff Lenard, new service tech in Monroe. The program provided essential training on the operation and application of Terex digger derricks and Hi-Ranger aerial devices as well as the recently introduced Texoma auger drills. Participants also had the opportunity to operate backhoes and excavators from sister Terex companies. The three-day program used six training stations with participants at each station operating equipment and performing actual jobs under supervision of Terex trainers. Attending the program were 39 people from as far away as China and Peru. "These programs are valuable learning opportunities, allowing us at Scott Powerline to better serve our customers," said Tom Scott, Jr., President and CEO of Scott Powerline. Scott Powerline and Utility Equipment was one of the title sponsors of the recent MedCamps of Louisiana Fun Shoot at the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Shooting Range in West Monroe, LA. The company has hosted shooting teams in the annual event for several years with this year being the first it has also been a title sponsor. MedCamps holds a series of one-week, fun-filled camps each summer free of charge for children in Louisiana facing the challenges of a variety of physical and mental disabilities. It is supported through fundraising events and donations from individuals, corporations and civic organizations. Scott Powerline fielded five teams of shooters, four employees coming from its Georgia plant. "It's really a fun event for employees and family alike," said Jeff Johnson, Executive Vice President and COO of Scott Powerline and board member of MedCamps. "Though the clays definitely won the day, Scott Powerline sure made some noise for a great cause."
